Last Call for Community Input on Greeley’s Natural Area Master Plan

Greeley’s Natural Areas and Trails Division invites the community to provide feedback on concept maps that will help shape the property's future. The survey closes on September 30th.

Since October 2022, public surveys and outreach events collected feedback to create two concept maps of the natural area. The public is asked to review these concepts and provide likes and dislikes. Each concept includes areas of shade, space for gathering, trail terrain types, and overlook features. The survey is available in English and Spanish.

Visit Speak Up Greeley to view the two maps and provide feedback: https://speakupgreeley.com/newest-natural-area.

“We want the whole community to imagine what the space is today and could be tomorrow,” said Natural Areas and Trails Division Manager Justin Scharton. “Public feedback reflects the diverse needs and desires of our community while preserving the ecological integrity of the space.”

A portion of Greeley’s newest natural area is now open daily, one hour before sunrise and closed one hour after sunset. Visitors can hike and bike approximately three miles of existing service roads. Trailhead parking is available at Missile Site Park.
