Enhancing Tourism Strategy through Advanced Visitor Analytics
GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley was awarded a $15,000 marketing matching grant from the Colorado Tourism Office, a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. This funds a tourism data platform that will provide insights into visitor demographics and behaviors. With better visitor insights, the city can improve its visitor initiatives through its Visit Greeley operations.
The platform will use a new data tool to study visitor behavior, hotel and rental trends, and the overall impact of tourism. The city will work with the hospitality task force to turn these insights into action. The project is a research study that will support the tourism industry. It includes:
Visitor profile reports
Hotel and short-term rental data
Audit Greeley’s accessibility for visitors
"We are excited to be one of the grant recipients, as it will enable us to obtain comprehensive visitor data,” says Jaqueline Villegas, the Deputy Director of External Communications for the City of Greeley. “With this data, we can improve our marketing strategies and create a more inclusive tourism environment for our community."
The Colorado Tourism Office’s Tourism Management Grant provides funding for tourism-related projects that develop, enhance or manage visitor experience in Colorado. Projects must be completed within the 12-month period between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026.
