Providing Quality Water
Greeley’s drinking water meets and exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards.
Greeley’s drinking water starts as pure Rocky Mountain snowmelt, and the Water Department uses the latest technologies to improve our water quality further. Greeley treats our water to high standards and regularly tests for a long list of potential contaminants to guarantee that we provide safe, clean, and great-tasting water.
At our water treatment plants, we conduct the following:
- Daily, weekly, and monthly water testing
- Yearly reporting - We publish a new Drinking Water Quality Report (see below) with the previous year's data each June.
In addition to the drinking water that we deliver, we also monitor the following:
- Cross-Connections
- Wastewater Treatment
- Polyfluoroalkyl substances—otherwise known as PFAS
- Stormwater - this is a function of the Public Works Department
